John records an easy win in light conditions
John sailed a great race to totally demolish the opposition, sailed in reasonably light condition in the bay.
The day started with the junior sailing and racing , and some senior "learn to windsurf" activity. Three junior races were held with Rachel, Maros and Kate E participating in their first races.

Ben sneaks in ahead of Neil
Two races in conditions very similar to last week saw Ben record a second and a first to take the round win ahead of Neil with a first and a fourth.

Neil also took charge of another successful junior training in the morning - here is his report;
Juniors Jay and Rebecca, Maros, Kate Middleton, Kate Eldon,
Rachael. plus Suri and Allan Eldon and Russell's friend.
Conditions were perfect for people learning to sail.
Club Members Ron Jaray Russell, Glen , Mark
- Jay and Rebecca shared a WOD & a 4.5 sail. Quite a bit of learning about how to rig a sail.
- Maros sailed using my 6m V8 on a WOD . He told me that it was a
good sail but a bit heavy! He handled it well.
- Kate M sailed all morning on her MOD with her 7.4 sail (Kate also
sailed all afternoon)
- Kate E sailed on her F2 and the 5.4m rig we assembled from
various member donations . She also had her harness on. Allan had sail after Kate had had enough.
- Suri rigged a 4.5 m Junior WOD sail on his gear and sailed for a
long time on his Tencate Runner He was ecstatic when he came back to
shore and said it was his best ever sail.
- Rachael sailed with a 5.8m sail that she and Mark rigged for her
on her Mistral . She is sailing well and understanding some of the issues involved with rigging & de-rigging.
