Back to windsurfing!

After the excesses of Christmas, New Year and Australia Day, back to club racing this Saturday. Same times as usual.

Note also there is the annual Australia Day "around the lake race" on Tuesday - 26th.

A windy day produces some fast and close racing.

A 20 knot NE wind was in fairly early with a few sailors out on slalom boards having a fun time. Racing consisted of 3 races, line starts and handicaps applied after finishing. Dave Nealy sailed very well to score 2 wins, followed by Mike Hockley and Josh Nealy.

Interclub 2, NSW Raceboard Titles and SPR8!

We travelled to the Dobroyd Aquatic Club in Sydney for 3 races to decide 2 titles and a round of our Spring pointscore series. A "try out a Techno" day was also organised for our junior sailors with four complete BIC Techno 293s available for use on the calm waters around Rodd Point.

DAC easily won the interclub claiming the "beautiful" Illadac trophy, while Martin Thearle from DAC won the NSW Raceboard titles, and Ken Innes and Dave Nealy tied for our SPR8 round.

Rob Wilson scores his first round win!

With light E-NE wind on a calm bay Rob sailed the best over 3 races to take the round win by a single point from Mike Hockley in second place, and Al Whitham and John Demol in equal 3rd place.

Josh Nealy sails well to take his first round win of the season.

In reasonably strong NE winds Josh sailed two great races to take the overall win from dad, Dave and granddad, Al.

Light conditions favour Neil with a consistent win.

A light SE - E wind on a sunny Saturday provided some slow but tactical racing. Over 3 races Neil was the most consistent to record a 2 point win over Dave Nealy and new raceboarder Darren Liver in equal 2nd in the A grade fleet.

Lauren Nealy had a ding dong battle with Dan Bax in the B grade fleet, eventually winning by a single point over 3 races.
